SMOKING, PART I

THE NON-SMOKING ZONE…

“OUCH”… OR… “HURRAY”???!!!???!!!???!!!  Folks, our nursing facility is currently transitioning from “SMOKING”… to “NON-SMOKING.  :/  Patients, visitors, and staff NO longer have designated areas to smoke on facility grounds.  The current changes at work have inspired this series of posts regarding “SMOKING”.  Hhhmmm… I AM DIVIDED, folks.  I can see the pros and cons of both sides, but is “SEEING” them enough for ANYONE???  I guess “THAT” depends on whether you SMOKE… OR… NOT!!!

“OUCH!!!”  Smokers at our SNF(Skilled Nursing Facility) must now walk, bike, or drive  1/8th mile off facility grounds, smoke a cigarette, and then return.  :/  How inconvenient!!!  Nicotine withdrawal is…???…???…??? DIFFICULT!!!  Especially when that choice is imposed on or demanded of you!!!  I can SOOOooo remember being a smoker and CRAVING a cig… EVEN MORE… when I knew I couldn’t have one!!!  🙁    OUCH!!!

“HURRAY!!!”  Just think of the reduced exposure to second-hand smoke, the increased exercise and/or incentive to quit smoking…FOR ALL!!!  DOUBLE HURRAY, HURRAY!!!  🙂

THERE IS A GOOD SIDE AND A BAD SIDE TO EVERYTHING!!!

GO TEAM!!!  WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!!!

P.H.P, folks!!!  People Helping People!!!

Give the BEST of yourself for “JUST” today… “EVERY” day!!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!  AND MAY GOD BLESS THE WHOLE-WIDE WORLD!!!  AMEN.
