REFLECTIONS, PART II

ACTIONS.

Boy, actions sure can speak louder than words, can’t they???  Hhhmmm… let’s think about that for a moment.  DOUBLE Hhhmmm, Hhhmmm!!!  Are you ready for my question to you in this SEGMENT???  Okay, HERE WE GO…

WHAT KIND OF PERSON ARE YOU AS REFLECTED BY YOUR ACTIONS???

Now, please be honest… WITH YOURSELF!!!  Are you the same, in mind and spirit, regardless of the company you keep?  Or do you present yourself one way when with family.  Another with co-workers?  And still yet another with friends?  Hhhmmm…  what’s YOUR answer?

There is a post somewhere in this blog that compares myself to “Dr. Jeckyl/Mr. Hyde.  “THIS”… is so, So, SO true, folks.  “I” could be a completely different person in different situations with different people.  I sometimes didn’t know myself!!!  And there were even times when I think I scared myself.

I NEVER knew I didn’t like myself.  I NEVER KNEW IT… CONSCIOUSLY.  Boy, did my actions show it, though.  “THOSE” actions were my attempts at denying anything was wrong .  But, boy I was sure on a one-way path to self-destruction, folks.   The accident that nearly ended my life at one point is also attributed with beginning a new life at another point.  This happened as I began emerging from the coma, 3 weeks later… as a  completely different person.  “I… am an OVER-COMER,” folks.  Trying to make the most of my journey through life here on earth, knowing that I am on my way to HEAVEN… and ETERNITY!!!  Amen.

Please examine your actions, folks.  Negative + negative = more negative.  Bad + bad = more bad.  So what, EXACTLY, do your actions say about the person you are???  And do you WANT to be that kind of person, or NOT???  BETTER YET…DOES GOD WANT YOU TO BE THAT PERSON???  Think about it…

Please give the BEST of yourself for “JUST” today… “EVERY” day!!!

GO TEAM!!!  WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!!!

ALL GLORY BE TO GOD!!!  AMEN.

REFLECTIONS, PART I

MIRRORS.

WOW!!!  Tell me, what do YOU see when you look into one?  Mirrors sure have a way of revealing things about ourselves that we don’t care to “see”.  Hhhmmm… cellulite.  Pimples.  Wrinkles, etc., etc., etc.   And mirrors lie, don’t they???  Reflecting distorted images.  Oh yeah, mirrors lie…

Especially those mirrors in Dept. Stores, right???  Hhhmmm… clothes shopping… one of my FAVORITE… PAST-TIMES.  😉  Why is it that my daughter looks just like herself in Dept. store mirrors, but I look…???…???  “Oversized” and “OLD”er???  DOUBLE Hhhmmm, Hhhmmm…

Folks, I have got to be honest… my husband took some pics of me while I was sleeping in a beach chair at Lake Winnepesaukee.  Cameras… DO NOT LIKE ME!!!  😉  You better believe I deleted those pics soon after viewing them!!!  I swear I looked like a middle-aged, pleasantly plump woman with “cheater” glasses on with, notable, drooping rolls of skin on my  chin/neck areas!!!  :/  WHAT???  ARE YOU KIDDING!!!  But wait… I AM a middle aged, slightly overweight woman!!!  😉

How much of what we “see” in mirrors is correct, anyway?  Our very own distorted minds impact the way we “see” ourselves.  Many different factors will affect what we “see” looking back at ourselves in mirrors, such as physical, mental and emotional.  Many issues can greatly impact our perceptions of what we “think” we “see” while looking in mirrors.  PRETTY DEEP STUFF, huh?

We’ve all heard how “THE MIND CAN PLAY TRICKS ON US,” right?   “THIS”… is so, So, SO true, folks.  And, I also believe that what we see in our own reflections on the outside tends to “mirror” how we feel about ourselves on the inside.  Hhhmmm…  this suggests that any negative, inner turmoil shows itself in our outward appearance.  SOMEWHERE.  DOUBLE Hhhmmm, Hhhmmm… What do YOU think???

Perhaps we do not always “see” the negatives in other people, but rest assured, they can “see” them in themselves.   Just as we can “see” them in ourselves.  And ya know what?  Most of what we “think” we “see” isn’t real. “Think about it.”  (Another tribute to my brother, Bob.)

Is it possible to change how we perceive that appearance staring back at us in the mirror?  Losing weight, applying make-up, styling your hair, etc., etc., etc. may “HELP,” but it is much simpler than that.  TURN TO GOD, folks.  Tap into that inner beauty that lies deep within you and let your inner “light” shine.  “IT”… is beautiful. Perhaps you will notice  unexplainable, outer improvements made that you can’t identify their cause, such as a smaller nose, thinner cheeks, whatever.  But you can’t explain them.  You just “LIKE” the perceived changes…

Hhhmmm… “THIS” has happened to me.  I can’t remember exactly when I first noticed these “changes,” but I did blog about them.  Somewhere back in time, awhile ago.  I even mentioned these “changes” to Pastor Walter West during one of our private meetings.   DOUBLE Hhhmmm, Hhhmmm.  I wonder if he remembers…

“THIS”… leaves me wondering, myself… Are those “changes” I’ve noted on the outside of my being really a reflection of actual “changes” that have occurred to my appearance?  Or are they simply altered perceptions…coming from within, protruding outward???  Think about it…

PRETTY DEEP, huh?  Please tap into your inner beauty, folks and let YOUR light shine.  Have a blessed day.  BTW (by the way)… “TODAY”… is Sunday, 8/17/14.  “HAVE A BLESSED DAY, folks !!! 😉

Please give the BEST of yourself for “JUST” today… “EVERY” day.
