Come along, folks.  “THIS”… is gonna be deep…

WOW!!!  I just referred to my worn and tattered, but trustworthy Webster’s Dictionary.  “Addict = to surrender (oneself) habitually or compulsively to something, such as alcohol or caffeine.”  In this definition, those things listed:  “alcohol” and “caffeine” are considered examples of “addictions,”  which are those things one might possibly become addicted “TO”.  DOUBLE WOW, WOW!!!  Stick with me, folks.  READY OR NOT…HERE WE GO!!!

“What addictions assist YOU in coping with YOUR Life’s difficulties???

Yep, I propose that each and every one of us have our positive and/or negative “ADDICTIONS” that we surrender ourselves  to in an attempt to cope with our difficulties while simply seeking to survive “LIFE”.  Hhhmmm…  Now, “THIS”… is something that we have ALL “KNOWN,” subconsciously, but have not properly identified…  unless the addictions are viewed as “NEGATIVE,” such as caffeine, drugs, or alcohol and are potentially life-altering in a negative manner.  Or fatal.  DOUBLE Hhhmmm, Hhhmmm… “THOSE,” bad things are “ADDICTIONS,” right?  And don’t forget… MY “BAD” list may include items on YOUR “GOOD” list!!!  :/

Isn’t surrendering oneself to anything, habitually or compulsively,  “NEGATIVE”?  “ADDICTIONS” to ANYTHING… in excess or man-made… may be considered negative.  Television.  Food.  Shopping.  Gambling.  Exercise.  Work.  Play.  Surgery, etc., etc., etc.  EVERY THING “MAN-MADE”…  and ANY THING or ACTIVITY  par-taken-in may be considered “NEGATIVE” at the point it meets the addiction criteria.  PERIOD!!!   I searched, but was unable to find a specific verse in the Bible relating to “ADDICTIONS,” but I believe there is, at least, one there…somewhere….  I admit that I may not know the Bible well enough to quote lots of scriptures, but I’m reading… and growing… DAILY along “THIS”… my journey of “FAITH” through “THIS”… my journey of “LIFE”.

Seek The Lord, folks.  He is the ONLY acceptable addiction, including our Lord God, Jesus-Christ, and The Holy Ghost.    The more you know God, the more time you want to spend with Him.

Give the BEST of yourself for “JUST” today… “EVERY” day!!!

P.H.P., folks.  People Helping People.
