NYLT…week with… BSA

NATIONAL YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING …week with… BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA!!!

WOO-WHOOOOOO!!!  Chase graduated today, Sat. 8/2/14 from NYLT at Boy Scout Camp Shands on the Baden-Powell Scout Reservation in Hawthorne, FL.  DOUBLE WOO-WHOOOOOO, WOO-WHOOOOOO!!!

What an amazing organization, BSA (Boy Scouts of America).  My husband and son have been involved with Scouting since Chase was 5.  I, however, am just “GETTING” what it is that the Boy Scouts… REALLY… represent.  What???  Yep, that’s the truth, folks. “This” is just another example of my… “flightiness”!!!???  Hhhmmm… my flightiness… is beginning to make sense… TO ME!!!  Double Hhhmmm, Hhhmmm… “THIS”… (my flightiness) sounds like a good post for later…  I am, however,  currently discussing NYLT with BSA…  😉  (Pppsssttt…I [my mind] got sidetracked [distracted] AGAIN!!!  Sorry.)   😉  Back to the graduation ceremony…

OMG!!!  The ceremony’s slide show, consisting of photos taken of scouts during the week’s “TRAINING CAMP,” began showing on a screen to “THE” song… none other than… “The Climb,” by Miley Cyrus!!! (the 1st of 3  songs played during this slide show).  “I”… AM NOT KIDDING, folks!!!  “THE CLIMB”!!!  My #1, motivational, inspirational, GO-TO SONG dating back to the pre-birthing stages of this site, numberoneteam.net!!!  DOUBLE OMG, OMG!!!  I CANNOT MAKE THIS STUFF UP, folks!!!  Coincidence?

Tears, IMMEDIATELY, filled both of my eyes.  My daughter, Danielle… KNOWING what “THIS” song means to “ME”… in her “crabby” 17 yr.-old tone-of-voice, whined for me to keep quiet and not make a “SCENE”!!!  Chase hugged me after the graduation ceremony and the VERY 1st thing he mentioned was… “the song” as memories of “The Climb” being played and RE-PLAYED…over, and Over, and OVER again… shot straight to the fore-front of his mind!!!  Both kids “STILL” like that song. I think…???  And me???  Well, “I” ABSOLUTELY love, Love, LOVE that song!!!  Oh, sing it to me, Miley…

I did hand out some business cards to various  camp staffers, scouts, attendees, and family members after the ceremony.  I was so deeply touched.  DEEPLY touched by the connections realized between BSA and numberoneteam.net to, yet, a further degree.  TODAY!!!

P.H.P., folks.  People Helping People.

Please give the BEST of yourself for “JUST” today, “EVERY” day!!!

GO TEAM USA!!!  GO TEAM BSA!!!  WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!!!

ALL GLORY BE TO GOD!!!  AMEN.
